The ULTIMO Group was set up in September 2002 by two people who made the most important contribution to the establishment of Lukas and Lukas Bank S.A. - one of the most spectacular successes on the Polish retail financial services market.

During the first stage, company operations were financed from initial capital. On 30 July 2003 an investment agreement was signed with AIG-CET Capital Management (Poland) sp. z o.o.
Currently

• the main shareholder is Advent International holding 89.6% of the ULTIMO Group shares.
• the second shareholder is JTV with 10.4% of the ULTIMO Group shares.

To date Advent International invested in almost 600 companies worldwide of which more than 140 went public. Since its inception in 1984, Advent raised €18.6 billion in private equity capital. With 15 offices across the globe, Advent International is a private equity firm with the widest geographical range. Not only does Advent celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2009, it also marks 15 years as an active investor in the CEE region.

Two main areas of ULTIMO business include debt collection on behalf of clients and debt portfolio purchasing.

The majority of the accounts managed by us come from the banking and telecommunications sectors but ULTIMO is also a proven business partner for financial intermediaries and utility companies.

In order to meet the expectations of its Clients, ULTIMO has established a securitization fund whose main purpose is to gather funds for new purchases of large debt portfolios.

In order to improve its operating standards, ULTIMO became a member of the Conference of Financial Companies and in 2005 received a certificate confirming compliance with Good Debt Collection Practices applied by members of the Conference of Financial Companies in Poland and has been recognised as a public trust institution.
