8 Aug. 2008 witnessed the purchase by the ULTIMO NS FIZ securitization fund of a large bank debt portfolio from PKO BP. The portfolio’s face value is PLN700m. It has been the largest transaction on the receivables market this year and the second largest in history. The portfolio includes consumer debts such as retail loans, credit card debts and mortgage loans.  It will be serviced by ULTIMO.  In practice it means that the company will take over all the documents and will handle the debt collection process. Collection of the debts included in the purchased portfolio is expected to start at the beginning of September.
